Voicebox
Healthy masculinity, healthy relationships, and gender equality.
The Federation has been working with Voicebox, an organisation working with educators to support children in navigating peer pressure and develop helathy attitudes to gender equality. Please click the link below to find out more.
The webinar focuses particularly on the pressures boys sometimes describe experiencing, and how understanding these pressures can help adults better support them.
It explores:
- The kinds of social pressures many children say they experience
- Why fitting in with friends can sometimes shape behaviour
- How home can remain a safe base where children feel able to talk openly about the pressures they face
- Practical ways parents and carers can support their child while maintaining clear boundaries and connection
There has been a great deal of public discussion recently about boys and masculinity. This session aims to move beyond headlines and offer practical insight into what young people themselves are describing, and how adults can respond in supportive ways.
